Communication at LAPP
LAPP’s innovative smart cable drum made its debut at Hannover Messe 2019. A timely collaboration between Schildknecht and LAPP, this intelligent drum can be deployed in warehouses, allowing stock to be precisely aligned to actual demand - thus yielding savings on costs and storage capacity. Integrating the use of sensors with Bluetooth 5 or mobile radio technology and an eSIM card, vital information can be delivered via cloud to internal networks to facilitate quick access.
Besides significantly simplifying warehousing duties, the drum further doubles up as a useful tool in theft protection with optional built-in GPS detection. Other concrete fields of applications are currently being explored.

RIGOROUS TESTING ENSURES HIGH QUALITY
To ensure the optimum quality of our cables, LAPP tests the performance of all its products in-house. From millions of bending cycles at various speeds under extreme bending radii to mechanical, chemical and vibration testing, our cables have to withstand tough endurance tests before they even
make it to series production. Customers with specific quality and safety requirements can also contact us to conduct testing on their orders, and be issued with the test certificate.
ÖLFLEX® has become synonymous with power and control cables. Our flexible and oil-resistant cables satisfy the highest demands and can withstand even the very toughest conditions. These cables have been used to illuminate diving lamps at a depth of 264 metres in Lake Garda, Italy and even to ventilate the world-famous Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.
The rugged design of our performance-tested ÖLFLEX® cables offers a clear application advantage, and tests have been performed using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure compliance with UL standards.
